Random? Acts of Kindness

Three individuals describe what their experiences have been with random acts of kindness.

Source:@Allyson Abaya Miss Abaya, a student at the University Perpetual Help System DALTA, was given a passing mark for an exam she failed. ‘When I flunked his exam due to overthinking so many things unrelated to the course. Yet, he was nice enough to remind me of Romans 8:28 when I told him the reason I was overthinking.’

Allyson Abaya had her exam two weeks ago and was surprised to have been received a higher mark than she thought she deserved. ‘Honestly, I’m feeling blessed to have a professor like him’. She had told her professor that she was having medical problems that needed to be checked and so was overwhelmed. Allyson is not the only recipient of random acts of kindness.

Similarly, Christine-Joy Goco, a law student in Birmingham, visited Superdrug six weeks ago and received a free lip kit. She said that this wasn’t the first time this had happened to her and that four years ago she had a similar experience at Too faced. ‘I was having a bad day, so I went to Too Faced to buy make-up. I was initially under the impression that there was a two for one deal. However, when I reached the tills, I was told the offer was only for lipliners. I was disappointed. But, when I got to the cashier, she had put the lip kits in my bag. So I had gotten a £28 lip kit for free.’

According to an anonymous Facebook user, ‘someone paid for our dinner at a restaurant recently!’. Anonymously!. It touched me deeply. And then when I got into a bad wreck, like five people stopped and got out of their vehicles and ran over to us. One couple even stayed with us till the responders arrived. We should all try to be kind. Let the Holy Spirit lead you in all things. Even if it’s an encouraging word. It could mean life or death for someone.’
