Day 2/7 of fast

Source:@debdaniel My main object is to fast from food but I also am trying to do partial water fasting. I’ll honest, generally I wouldn’t drink more than 500 ml of liquid and that’s on a good day. My water intake is mainly from milk,teas and Greek yoghurt. Today,I’ll actually attempt to drink water.


It has been 40 hours since I started my fast. Currently I’m not hungry, although I was yesterday. I kept thinking about the great feast after I complete my fast. I have watched mukbangs.


I want ice cream, cake , donuts, pizza, scrambled eggs, I want heaven’s chefs to feed me. Every time I complete a fast I make it known of my intentions to feast but truth be told, it would be wrong to. You are supposed to eat eat light for some days. The first day is strictly broth, then you can transition to juices and soups. It can take up to 5 days to eat normally as when you’ve fasted for a week or more, physical food can be too much. We are essentially getting rid of that pig like appetite.


I must confess with you, last night was a horrendous affair. I was plagued with a continuous headache and cramp like stomach aches. At around 8 am, I tried to have black tea but it didn’t do anything. In excruciating pain, I made the decision to have a few swings of a smoothie and a banana. I also had my father buy apples which are mostly just water in case I’m in a similar situation. I don’t want to break my fast and be forced to eat real food but I will give myself fruit as an allowance only if I’m sick like medicine. The pain didn’t go away for a few hours, it might have increased but now I’m free of the tyranny.


I will also give myself an allowance of 500 cals a day while I fast if my body abuses me, though I hope I won’t have to use it.


I’m surprised people call me skinny. I have gained 5kg since about June. Maybe even a bit more and it‘s not like I’ve eaten crazy amounts. Some days I just have eaten junk but I have no regrets. I have made wonderful memories such as two scoops of the best ice cream in Belgium and ice cream shaped like a flower in London.

I have a curvy figure and it is likely you see me in skinny jeans which have that slimming effect. I am currently at 61.5 kg, my lowest weight this year was under 55 kg. I definitely wouldn’t want to be under 53kg. I just want my jeans to fit a little looser. My jeans fit but I never liked too much of a tight fit. I want to lose my fat face. I don’t necessarily have a weight goal. I think I would like to be in the fifties.


People sometimes compliment me of having this perfect body but they don’t see what I have to do to maintain it. Also I want it to be known that it is not perfect and I’m ok with that.

I love my body even if I’m still on a journey and I think the journey never ends. I’m not here to just critique, I want self improvement in every way.


One tip that will help you in life is to ONLY eat when you’re hungry. Learn to say no. Your friends can eat if they want. You can give them your company but save your coins, don’t backslide for social eating conventions. That being said, I don’t miss out on life. I will eat whatever I want on holiday.

I wonder what tomorrow will be like.
